Ascend Noire ("we", "us") operates the Ascend Noire mobile app and the website at ascendnoire.org. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Account details you give us when you sign up, such as your name, email address, profile photo, and the organisation or community you belong to. Content you create in the app, including posts, comments, messages, survey answers, and event responses. Technical information sent by your device, such as device type, operating system, app version, and crash reports, which we use to keep the app working.

How we use it

To run your account and show you the communities, conversations, and events you take part in. To send you notifications you have opted into. To understand how the app is used so we can improve it. To keep the platform safe, including detecting abuse and enforcing our terms. We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing

Content you post is visible to the members of the community you post it in, and to the organisation that hosts that community. We share data with service providers who help us run the platform, such as hosting, authentication, and analytics, and only for that purpose. We may disclose information where the law requires it.

Retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account from the app's account settings, or by emailing us at the support address below. Deleting your account removes your profile and personal details. Content you contributed to a community may remain visible without your name attached where it forms part of a shared conversation.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the support address below and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

When this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
